Anne Genetet took up her duties as Minister of Education on Monday, September 23 in Michel Barnier’s government.
Anne Genetet officially took over as head of the Ministry of National Education on Monday, September 23. Jean-Michel Blanquer hopes for the success of this new government. “The elements of fragility are known. There are major imperatives: the restoration of public accounts and the major reforms that we need, such as ecological transformation.”he declared.
Anne Genetet, a member of parliament for French people abroad who lived as an expatriate in Singapore, is better known for her work on defence and foreign policy. “Education is a central element in France. There are two factors that help to be at the head of education. First, expertise, therefore knowing the ministry and the themes well, and second, political weight with the ability to create momentum. Anne Genetet should not be underestimated.”says the former Minister of National Education.
