Rapper Koba LaD sentenced to one year in prison for nightclub violence

Rapper Koba LaD was sentenced on Wednesday, September 25, to two years in prison, one of which was suspended, by the Paris Criminal Court for violence in a nightclub in November 2022. The court ordered that the firm portion of this sentence be modified in the form of wearing an electronic bracelet. It also banned Koba LaD from carrying a weapon for five years and imposed a sentence of ineligibility for three years.

The 24-year-old artist with over three million followers on Instagram was not present at the hearing. He has been in custody since his involvement in a fatal accident in Créteil in mid-September. Koba LaD was at the wheel and driving under the influence of drugs during this accident which killed one of his passengers. He was charged with aggravated involuntary manslaughter and aggravated involuntary injury.
