The new high-speed train line connecting Paris to Berlin will open on December 16. The European Union wants more rail connections between European capitals.

A train heading to Berlin, at high speed, from Paris. On December 16, SNCF and Deutsche Bahn will inaugurate a brand new rail link, which will connect the French capital and the German capital in eight hours by train. “I think it’s always good to have a line that connects France to another country”says a traveler. “We must also consider the cost”adds a woman, who wants to discover Berlin.

For a one-way ticket, you will have to pay at least 60 euros in second class. An entry price for those who book in advance. Fares will be set in the same way as for French TGVs: based on supply and demand. The European Union has set itself the goal of doubling rail traffic between the countries of the continent by 2030.
