The captain of Team USA has built an enviable reputation during his 32 years as a professional golfer. Nicknamed Mr. 58 – in honor of his record-breaking round of 58 at the 2016 Travelers Championship – the West Chester, Pennsylvania native has 29 professional victories, including 17 on the PGA Tour. The former world number two also won the 2003 U.S. Open.

Mike Weir

The captain of the international team became a legend in Canadian golf in 2003 when he won the Masters. An exceptional performance in which the native of Sarnia, Ontario, defeated the greatest of the time: Phil Mickelson, Tiger Woods, Vijay Singh, Ernie Els… and Jim Furyk – the captain of the American team –, 4^e in the final ranking. The former world number 3, author of 14 professional victories, also made an impression by beating Woods in a duel during the Presidents Cup played in Montreal in 2007.
