Israeli strikes in Lebanon have left nearly 300 dead in 24 hours. On Monday, September 23, many residents fled on the roads in the south of the country, while the Hebrew state announced new attacks further north.

In just 24 hours, more than 1,100 strikes were carried out by Israel on Lebanon on Monday, September 23. Lebanese authorities say it is the most violent and deadly day in the country since the civil war 35 years ago. There are nearly 300 victims. Amid the wailing of sirens, residents of southern Lebanon are fleeing. “People are all leaving”testifies a man.

On the roads, long lines of vehicles of Lebanese fleeing the war. Women and children leave with only the clothes on their backs. The destination doesn’t matter as long as the hell of bombs remains far behind. But where can one flee when one doesn’t know where the next strike will be? Israel is pounding southern Lebanon and announced on Monday that it was targeting the Bekaa Valley, further north.
