Thunderbolts* Trailer | The Repentant Villains Club

Where Is My Mind?a legendary piece by the Pixies, plays during the first trailer for Thunderbolts*36e film from the Marvel Cinematic Universe, expected on May 2, 2025.

Yelena Belova (Florence Pugh) seems to be asking herself the same question as singer Black Francis, as she moves through life aimlessly since we saw her in Black Widow then in the series Hawkeye. She visits her father, Alexei Shostakov (David Harbour), whose glory days in the Red Guardian uniform are clearly long behind him.

Later, Yelena is invited to a secret meeting where John Walker (Wyatt Russell), the fallen Captain America of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. Ava Starr (Hannah John-Kamen), aka Ghost, and Antonia Dreykov (Olga Kurylenko), aka Taskmaster, antagonists manipulated by malicious men in Ant-Man and the Wasp And Black Widowrespectively, have received the same invitation. A certain Bob (Lewis Pullman) also shows up. Rumor has it that he is Sentry, one of the most powerful characters in Marvel comics.

Although the trailer doesn’t confirm it, these more or less respectable individuals will likely have to team up in order to face a threat that could be Sentry or a combination of rivals of the American government. Valentina Allegra de Fontaine (Julia Louis-Dreyfus), director of the CIA, has assembled the group that is led by Bucky Barnes (Sebastian Stan), who is tasked with keeping these marginal heroes united after facing his own demons.

Screenwriter Eric Pearson, who has contributed to many MCU works, including Thor – Ragnarokco-wrote the story with Lee Sung Jin and Joanna Calo, who collaborated with director Jake Schreier (Robot & Frank, Paper Towns) to the series Beef.

Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige has indicated that the meaning of the asterisk at the end of the title will be revealed when the film is released.
