After suspicions of mistreatment of her two children, Johanna Guilbert hopes to get answers from the large childcare group she is suing.
For nearly 4 years, Johanna Guilbert has been fighting for her children to be recognized as victims. Neal and Norah, brother and sister, have suffered from serious psychological problems since their time in a “People&baby” daycare center. “It’s very complicated for them to trust, to approach others”their mother testifies.
When the children arrived at the nursery in Villeneuve-sur-Ascq (Nord) in 2019, everything went well at first. But Neal, then three years old, started crying and struggling every morning. “I’m told that Neal had another seizure and had to be put outside in the middle of winter.”remembers Johanna Guilbert. One day she picked up her daughter with a “hematoma” on the forehead.
His lawyer is hoping for answers.
In this closed-door trial, eight families are waiting for answers from the former director of the nursery and a nurse. The accused face five years in prison and a fine of 75,000 euros for mistreating nine children.
