In Tyrosse, in the Landes, the residents of a nursing home are taking up surfing. This initiative was launched after the broadcast of a video during the Olympic Games in which grandmothers were performing on the beaches.
At 96 years old, Jeannine, a resident of the Tyrosse nursing home, is trying surfing for the first time in her life. The goal is to let yourself be carried by the waves and rediscover sensations that some have not experienced for a long time. The idea of organizing this day comes from a video that circulated during the Olympic Games where grandmothers staged themselves on the beaches.
So why not give it a try? The bet becomes a therapy. This experience brought laughter and sparkling eyes. The next goal is to try snowboarding in the mountains with the idea of sliding down prejudices once again.
