Last campaign. Donald Trump ruled out running for the 2028 US presidential election in an interview broadcast on Sunday, September 22, if he loses in the November election. “No, I don’t see myself there, I don’t see myself there”, the 78-year-old Republican candidate said on Full Measure. “I can’t imagine that at all, added the former president.I think that will be all.”

The billionaire, however, hoped “a success” at the polls on November 5, facing Democratic candidate Kamala Harris. On Saturday, he refused to debate his rival again, saying he was “too late” because “the vote has already started”, at a campaign rally in North Carolina, referring to the start of early voting in some states across the country.

Since the dramatic withdrawal of President Joe Biden, who was struggling in the polls, the outcome of the presidential election is more uncertain than ever. Donald Trump and Kamala Harris are neck and neck in several of the states where everything will probably be decided. Notably, Donald Trump, who never acknowledged his defeat to Joe Biden in 2020, has refused several times in recent months to commit to unconditionally recognizing the result of the November election.
