DAZN has been the new broadcaster of Ligue 1 since this summer. The British broadcasting platform acquired the broadcasting rights from the LFP. “We signed with the League on July 30. The first match was on August 16, underlines Brice Daumin, general director of DAZN France, Thursday September 19. We have set up an incredible system. We have recruited more than 50 people on the editorial-production side. We have signed distribution agreements with everyone, with all the telecom operators, with Canal, with Amazon. We are distributed everywhere. Today, this work is recognized by the clubs.” DAZN is present in more than 200 countries worldwide and has invested two billion euros in a 100% digital platform. “We are the largest sports streaming broadcaster in the world,” resumes the leader of the platform.

Heavily criticized for the price of its Ligue 1 subscription, DAZN launched a promotion at the beginning of September, dropping from 29.99 to 19.99 euros per month. Brice Daumin reminds us that there is not only football in DAZN’s offers: “You will find all of Ligue 1, all of basketball, all of combat sports, boxing, MMA, kickboxing. You have a complete offer which is on sale today at 19.99 euros”, he detailed. DAZN’s goal is to attract 1.5 million subscribers by early 2025. “Yes, it is possible. That is our wish in any case.”concludes the general director of DAZN France.
