The day after the pager explosions, on Wednesday, September 18, Hezbollah’s walkie-talkies in Lebanon were targeted.

New deadly explosions of Hezbollah transmission devices in Lebanon. After beepers on Tuesday, walkie-talkies exploded. These detonations took place in the suburbs of Beirut, as well as in the south and east of Lebanon. These walkie-talkie explosions took place at the time of the funerals of four Hezbollah members killed the day before.

These devices are rudimentary. They allow you to send or receive very short messages. They were pagers from the Taiwanese brand Golf Apollo. Since 2023, Hezbollah has banned its members from using their mobile phones during combat. Israel has not commented on these attacks, a few hours after the Hebrew state announced that it would extend the objectives of the war against Hamas in the Gaza Strip to its northern border with Lebanon.
