(Montreal) The Montreal Alouettes obtained new reinforcements on Wednesday, as defensive end Lwal Uguak joined the team.
The 24-year-old footballer was due to take part in training on Wednesday.
The six-foot-five, 271-pound colossus signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers last January after one season in the CFL. In three preseason games, he made two tackles and a sack, in addition to knocking down a pass.
In 2023, he was the team’s seventh overall pick in the CFL Draft. The Edmonton, Alberta native played every game for the Alouettes last season, recording 16 tackles and three sacks, in addition to forcing a fumble.
He had added 11 tackles and three pass breakups in three playoff games.
