An exasperated teacher hit a little girl in her nursery class in early September. The teacher was questioned in police custody on Monday, September 16, and France Télévisions collected her testimony.
It’s a gesture she can’t explain. On September 3, in her classroom, a teacher raised her hand to one of her students who was in the middle of a crying fit, then splashed her with water. Heard in police custody on Monday, September 16, she decided to speak out. No longer leaving her home, she agreed to answer the 8 p.m. news, saying to herself “relieved to have finally been able to deliver [sa] version of events to investigators.”
The teacher also regrets “this unfortunate and wrongful gesture”She spoke about another complaint filed on Friday, September 20, regarding a slap she allegedly gave a student in 2012. She recalled that the case “had given rise to a report” and then to a “internal investigation in which the student in question admitted to having lied”. According to her lawyer, his client never hit a student before September 3. According to him, the teacher was facing a chaotic return to school in an overcrowded class, had experienced a bereavement the day before and was ill. The girl did not return to school: a psychiatrist prescribed two months off.
