Thousands of firefighters have mobilized and the authorities have requested reinforcements. The fight is relentless, fierce. All night, the inhabitants have fought against the fire with derisory means. They are trying to contain the flames far from their village. Here, no one remembers such a thing. Here are several month ? Portugal, overwhelmed, is fighting the fires. The weather is dry, the wind is fanning the flames.
