A 30-year-old female driver died Monday after skidding on Route 138 in Colombier, in the Côte-Nord region.
Emergency services were called to the scene of the single-vehicle crash at around 5pm.
“The vehicle that was traveling eastbound apparently left the road before rolling over. The driver, who was the only person on board, was seriously injured. Unfortunately, she was pronounced dead on the scene,” said Camille Savoie, spokesperson for the Sûreté du Québec.
A police officer trained in collision investigations went to the scene to analyse the scene.
Route 138 was closed for part of the evening on Monday, but was now reopened around 10:30 p.m.
