It consisted of two female engineers, a former member of the American Air Force and a billionaire. There were no professional astronauts. However, they do not seem to have suffered from this unprecedented experience.
The spacecraft took off from Florida (USA) on Tuesday, September 10. It ventured up to 1,400 kilometers in altitude. This is further than any crew has gone since the Apollo lunar missions, the last of which were more than half a century ago. On Thursday, September 12, two members of the crew even treated themselves to a private ten-minute spacewalk. The event marks a major step towards the development of space tourism.
