In Grenoble (Isère), a silent march was organized on Sunday, September 15, to pay tribute to Lilian Dejean. The alleged murderer is still on the run.
Hand in hand, Lilian Dejean’s relatives gathered on Sunday, September 15, in Grenoble (Isère), to pay him a final tribute. His two brothers led the procession to the scene of the accident where the municipal agent lost his life on Sunday, September 8.
“It’s very hard, we try to be there for our family.“, said Lilian Dejean’s ex-partner, Sophie Caruana.
The accident took place in the city center of Grenoble. A car, stopped at a red light, was violently hit by another vehicle registered in Poland. The municipal agent wanted to help, but the driver fired twice and fatally hit him in the chest.
A week after this tragedy, his colleagues insisted on being present at the march. They are still in shock.Unfortunately, we are no longer safe.“, insists one of Lilian Dejean’s colleagues.
The suspect is still being sought. The victim was 49 years old and leaves behind two children.
