A teacher targeted by six complaints for violence against CP pupils

A teacher at a school in Muret, south of Toulouse (Haute-Garonne), is the subject of six complaints, France Bleu Occitanie learned on Saturday, September 14, from the Toulouse public prosecutor’s office and the city’s rectorate.

According to the Toulouse public prosecutor’s office, this teacher from the Barry de Muret school is the target of “six complaints for violence against minors under 15”According to the accusations of several parents, the events took place during the 2023/2024 school year in this CP class.

The parents do not report physical violence, but shouting, humiliation and inappropriate remarks towards the children. The prosecutor’s office specifies that the teacher was interviewed by the police. While waiting for the end of the judicial investigation, the teacher was assigned to another position at the start of the school year, on September 2, according to the Toulouse rectorate.

Since September 4, the teacher in question has been working on replacement assignments in the department, pending the outcome of the investigation. The Toulouse rectorate specifies that “If the ongoing investigation showed a failure in the behavior of this professor, he would draw all the consequences”.
