A Mediterranean derby between two clubs that want to play the leading roles. After a promising start to the season with 7 points taken out of a possible 9, Marseille face a tough opposition with OGC Nice as their opponent, for this fourth day of Ligue 1, Saturday September 14 (5 p.m.). OM has scored a lot since the start of the season (10 goals in three games), but sometimes shows defensive weaknesses: Roberto De Zerbi’s team has always conceded a goal, a flaw that the club shares with the Aiglons.
After two first games without a win (defeat against Auxerre and draw against Toulouse), OGC Nice started its season by winning in Angers (3-1) before the international break. The challenges are numerous for coach Franck Haise, particularly in central defense after the departure of Jean-Clair Todibo. Against a very offensive Marseille, the Nice rearguard will have to find the solidity that was its strength last season (29 goals conceded in Ligue 1, best defense in the championship).
