For a moment during Tuesday night’s presidential debate, I felt that Kamala Harris lacked the bite to respond to Trump’s insanities every time.
But the debate went on and it became clear that in the face of scrutiny and a few good digs from Harris, Trump looked pitiful and was mired in his lies, even going so far as to claim that all the great leaders in the world look up to him. He was probably thinking of his highly respectable pals Vlad and Kim.
She has emerged as a president in control and with a positive vision for the future of the United States. She and her running mate will be busy until November 5, and they may have the help of a few other Republican bigwigs who will change their tune for this election.
A first major endorsement came after the debate: Taylor Swift wrote that she would vote for Kamala Harris because of her strength of character, her vision of the situation and the future, and in order to avoid chaos.
The vice-presidential debate scheduled for 1er October between JD Vance and Tim Walz also promises to be a good one. Two boxers with opposing styles.
