Tiger Woods has undergone further surgery on his back to fix a pinched nerve.
Woods hopes the surgery can resolve the spasm episodes he has experienced this year.
This is the sixth back surgery in 10 years for the American golfer.
Woods himself announced the surgery in a short statement on his social media. His rehabilitation is expected to last eight to 12 weeks.
The American has only played five tournaments this year, the four majors and the Genesis Invitational, of which he is the host golfer.
