In the Drome, two farmers have decided to breathe new life into their land where intensive farming was once practiced.
This is the story of a farm like no other, just a stone’s throw from Valence, in the Drôme. A refuge for flora and fauna. Here insects, lizards, mammals and birds are gradually reappearing like endangered species. The artisans of this little miracle: Sébastien and Elsa. That day, the two farmers had to intervene in a field near their farm. An invasive plant had appeared.
Thanks to farmers’ biodiversity-friendly methods, many insects are making a comeback in nature. “We are in a dynamic where the more biodiversity we have, the more living things we welcome on the farm, all species combined, the more chances we have of limiting insect pests”explains Sébastien. A model that could inspire others.
