Bayard press group targeted by cyberattack

This cyberattack took place on Sunday and disrupted the publication of certain titles including La Croix, the group indicated in a press release published on Tuesday evening.

The Bayard group publications have “were victims of a ransomware-type cyberattack”Sunday September 8, “affecting a part of [ses] computer systems and therefore [ses] activities”which disrupted the publication, marketing and management of some of its titles including La Croix, the group said in a press release on Tuesday, September 10. The Bayard group’s titles include the daily La Croix, the weekly Le Pèlerin, the monthly Notre Temps, as well as Astrapi, Okapi and J’aime Lire.

“The publication of La Croix on Tuesday, September 10 could not be carried out”the daily explains on its website, but this Wednesday’s edition will be able to be published. On the other hand, the online stores for subscribing to its publications are under maintenance, noted the Radio France agency.

“Our technical teams, in collaboration with cybersecurity experts, are actively working to remedy the situation, and restore the systems necessary for the company’s operations in a secure manner.”continues the Bayard group press release.
