(Montreal) The Sûreté du Québec (SQ) is investigating the suspicious death of a woman in her sixties, who was found in a residence in Sainte-Julienne, in the Lanaudière region.
Around 1 p.m. on Tuesday, emergency services and SQ police officers from the MRC de Montcalm were called to a residence located on Chemin des Amis.
“On site, an unconscious woman was discovered, bearing signs of injuries and violence,” said Nicolas Scholtus, spokesperson for the SQ. The woman was pronounced dead on site.
“Since this is a suspicious death, the investigation is being conducted by the Sûreté du Québec’s crimes against the person investigation service,” said Mr. Scholtus.
The police force’s forensic identification service went to the scene to determine the causes and circumstances of this event.
As of Tuesday evening, no suspects had been arrested in connection with the case.
