The comedian and former court jester of Everyone is talking about it Dany Turcotte will launch an autobiography next month.
In D. Turcotte and sonsthe comedian will of course talk about his professional career, which took him from his beginnings as a young comedian at Groupe Sanguin to the very prominent position of king’s fool at Everyone is talking about it which he held for 17 years.
But he will also discuss lesser-known parts of his life, including his childhood in Saguenay marked by his parents’ divorce and his father’s alcoholism.
He also wrote about the storms he had to face in his personal life during his career, including the accident of an ex-partner that left him quadriplegic and the premature death of his long-time partner, comedian Dominic Lévesque.
The book, published by Éditions La Presse, is scheduled for release on October 10.
In a short statement, Dany Turcotte says that writing is a new way for him to communicate.
“A third chapter in my professional life, 20 years on stage, 20 years on television and now, it’s time for writing, which opens the doors to a world full of promise,” he said.
