Tyreek Hill arrested for traffic violation

(Miami) Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill was briefly stopped for a traffic violation as he entered Hard Rock Stadium on Sunday, hours before his team opened its season against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

In a video posted to the social network X, Hill was seen lying face down on the ground as officers placed his hands behind his back and appeared to handcuff him.

Hill has since been released and is preparing to play against the Jaguars, his agent, Drew Rosenhaus, said.

In a statement, the Dolphins said Hill arrived safely at the stadium.

“This morning, wide receiver Tyreek Hill was stopped for a traffic incident near the stadium and was briefly detained by police,” the statement said. “He has since been released. Several teammates saw the incident and stopped to offer their support. Tyreek and all other players involved arrived safely at the stadium and will be available for today’s game.”
