Two men were injured in a fight that involved about ten people in downtown Montreal on the night of Saturday to Sunday, indicates the Montreal Police Department (SPVM).
At around 12:30 a.m., 911 received several calls regarding the fight that occurred near the intersection of Saint-Jacques Street and Saint-Laurent Boulevard, in the Ville-Marie borough.
The victims, aged 23 and 28, suffered upper body injuries from a sharp object.
The men were taken to hospital and their lives are not in danger, said Anthony Dorelas, spokesperson for the SPVM.
According to initial reports, the conflict was between the occupants of two cars, which then escalated once the people got out of the vehicles.
Three men aged 23, 33 and 35, as well as a 32-year-old woman, were arrested in connection with the event, the SPVM announced.
