The raid continues for French road cycling. On the roads of Clichy-sous-Bois (Seine-Saint-Denis), Thomas Peyroton-Dartet and Alexandre Léauté brought home two new medals, silver and bronze respectively, on Saturday 7 September, in the road race in the C1-C3 category, intended for riders with coordination and movement disorders from a low to a high level. Even if the two Frenchmen could legitimately claim gold, with these two new trinkets, they bring the total for French paracycling to 27, including nine titles.

Paralympics 2024 – Cycling: no gold but a double podium for Peyroton-Dartet and Léauté

For his first Paralympic Games at the age of 39, Thomas Peyroton-Dartet was unable to resist the return of Briton Finlay Graham, who won gold in the sprint. The Frenchman had won the time trial on Wednesday in the C3 category. Alexandre Léauté, who was ahead for a long time, cracked in the final hectometres, unable to resist an attack from his compatriot. But he won his fourth Paralympic medal in this 2024 edition, after a title in the road time trial three days ago and another in the pursuit on the track. The 23-year-old Breton had also won the bronze medal in the kilometre on the track.
