The Montreal Public Markets are going into festive mode on September 7 and 8 to celebrate the abundance of the garden’s harvests.
Stalls filled with fresh produce and entertainment for the whole family await visitors at the Atwater, Jean-Talon, Maisonneuve markets as well as the Neighborhood and Solidarity Markets. What’s better than a corn roast to celebrate the harvest?
We go to the Atwater and Jean-Talon markets to get our hands on one or more ears of corn; the first 600 people to arrive each day will even be able to enjoy them for free.
Several cooking demonstrations are also organized, there is no shortage of choice between workshops on edible flowers, microgreens or even fermented vegetables.
A competition for the best tomato sauces in Little Italy will liven up the Jean-Talon market on Sunday, an event not to be missed.
September 7 and 8, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
