In Germany, Volkswagen’s savings plan is causing an earthquake. Employees are angry at a management that has just announced site closures, without any consultation, which worries the German government. The automobile giant has missed the electric shift. Its cars are no longer selling because they are too expensive, while Volkswagen represents nearly 300,000 jobs in the country.
