September is off to a strong start for Haivision, a Montreal-based provider of real-time video streaming solutions.
After announcing a contract with the U.S. Navy for combat visualization and video distribution systems on Tuesday, Haivision announced late Wednesday that it has joined a consortium led by Airbus to help design 5G communications systems to support operations in emergency situations where network infrastructure is compromised or absent.
Haivision will notably design 5G transmitters and antennas intended to be deployed on mobile vehicles.
Haivision shares rose 14% on the Toronto Stock Exchange on Wednesday, the day after a 7% jump.
