The Afghan taekwondo practitioner, who has been a refugee in France for three years, is receiving death threats for denouncing the Taliban. She filed a complaint on Tuesday.

“I am very afraid, I did not leave my country to find myself in a situation where I am in danger again, but this is what I am experiencing once again”testifies Marzieh Hamidi Wednesday, September 4 on franceinfo. The Afghan taekwondo practitioner is threatened with death for having denounced the Taliban. A refugee in France for three years, she filed a complaint on Tuesday for repeated threats of rape and death, cyberbullying and malicious phone calls.

“My life is in danger, I can’t stay at home”she said. Her phone number ended up in the hands of thousands of people. She received “3 000 calls” of people telling him “We will kill you, we will rape you, you cannot represent Afghan women”. Calls from different countries, Pakistan, Iran, Afghanistan, France, Germany and “many European countries”she specifies.
