The work of Yvon Deschamps published in full

All of Yvon Deschamps’ monologues and songs are now available in the book Really all of Deschamps… in fullwhich brings together 40 years of texts from the famous 89-year-old comedian.


The author François Avard, who initiated the project, collected and transcribed the monologues from Yvon Deschamps’ personal archives, in their original version. From his first monologue Unions, what does Ossa give? to the texts of the shows US that we are leaving Or What do you mean 2000? These are real X-rays of the eras in which they were written.

The book also includes numerous comments and historical and social contexts from the monologist.

The preface is signed by Stéphane Laporte. The book, published by Éditions La Presse and launched on Tuesday at the Centre Yvon Deschamps, in the Centre-Sud district, will be in bookstores on September 5.
