Canada’s Katie Cosgriffe wins bronze in swimming at Paralympic Games

Canadian swimmer Katie Cosgriffe won bronze in the S10 100-metre butterfly on Tuesday at the Paris Paralympic Games.

The 18-year-old from Ontario clocked 1 minute 7.22 seconds. Britons Faye Rogers (1:05.84) and Callie-Ann Warrington (1:06.41) were the only ones to beat her.

Cosgriffre is taking part in his first Paralympic Games after obtaining an international classification in April 2023.

This is Canada’s sixth swimming medal in Paris. Aurélie Rivard and Nicholas Bennett each won two. Cosgriffe and Tess Routliffe won the others.
