Five people tried in February 2025, the injured were released from the hospital

Five people arrested on Saturday, suspected of having participated in a brawl in the Marx-Dormoy district, in the 18th arrondissement of Paris, will be tried in February 2025 for “participation in a group with a view to preparing violence against people or damage to property” and have been placed under judicial supervision, the Paris prosecutor’s office told franceinfo on Monday, September 2.

On Saturday morning, around 11:45 a.m., a fight broke out in the Marx-Dormoy district. “within the Afghan community, involving around forty people”explains the prosecution. “Three people whose life was initially in danger, then lifted, were taken to hospital. Six others were arrested,” adds the prosecution.

“The victims left the hospital and did not respond to investigators’ requests. The use of video surveillance did not reveal any violence against the people arrested.”the prosecution continues.

Five of the people arrested were brought before a magistrate on September 2, 2024, who summoned them to the hearing of February 19, 2025 at 1:30 p.m. before the 10th chamber, for “participation in a group with a view to preparing violence against people or damage to property”. In the meantime, they have been placed under judicial supervision.
