The 15-year-old pedestrian hit by an SUV last Wednesday in the Anjou borough has succumbed to his injuries, confirmed the Montreal Police Department (SPVM).
The teenager was hit by an SUV while crossing a pedestrian crossing on Louis-Hippolyte-La Fontaine Boulevard, near Métropolitain Boulevard. The SUV was traveling northbound.

Once on the scene, emergency services found the 15-year-old boy unconscious on the road. He was subsequently taken to hospital. His death was confirmed there in the last few hours.
There have now been 16 fatal collisions on SPVM territory since the beginning of the year. Ten of these collisions involved pedestrians.
The SPVM investigation is still ongoing.
