The search for a Prime Minister continues. But time is running out. Budget, unemployment insurance, hospitals, nuclear power… Several issues await rapid decisions from the future tenant of Matignon.
The name of Gabriel Attal’s successor is still unknown. But already on his desk at Matignon, the first emergency: it is the finance budget which must be imperatively presented before October 1st. A schedule almost impossible to keep. The Élysée could postpone the text. The budgetary procedure requires the prior passage through an administrative phase, with the opinion of the Council of State and the High Council of Public Finances.
Another important bill is that on the end of life which provided for assistance in dying. But with the dissolution of the Assembly, the examination of the text is suspended after months of discussion, everything will have to be started from scratch, to the great displeasure of the associations.
