Thibaut Rigaudeau wins silver and Antoine Pérel bronze in triathlon, PTVI category

After Jules Ribstein’s gold medal earlier Monday morning, Thibaut Rigaudeau and Antoine Pérel, accompanied by their guide, won silver and bronze in the PTVI category.

The harvest continues for the French paratriathlon. After the gold won by Jules Ribstein in the PTS2 category, Thibaut Rigaudeau and Antoine Pérel also pocketed a medal each, in silver and bronze, on Monday, September 2, in the PTVI category (for athletes with visual impairment). After a cruel fourth place at the Tokyo Games, Thibaut Rigaudeau, 33, finally stepped on the podium in Paris, finishing 2nd, 1’26 behind the British Dave Ellis. This first Paralympic medal won with his guide Cyril Viennot, already there three years ago, crowns one of the finest records of the French paratriathlon.

Antoine Pérel and his guide Yohan Le Berre won bronze, after a European champion title in 2023 and a double bronze medal at the world championships in 2022 and 2023.
