New bales of cocaine were found on Thursday, August 29, on the beach at Ambleteuse, north of Boulogne-sur-Mer, in Pas-de-Calais, France Bleu Nord learned from the police and franceinfo from a source close to the case.

It was mobile gendarmes from Amiens who discovered two bales of 25 kg and 26 kg, packed in black transport bags, details France Bleu Nord. They bore the same marks as the bales of cocaine found the previous Monday on the beaches in the area by a family of holidaymakers.

According to France Bleu Nord, a total of five bales and 131 kg of drugs have been recovered since the beginning of the week on the beaches in the area (Ambleteuse, Audresselles and Audinghen). According to information from franceinfo, the drugs were handed over to customs. The Specialized Interregional Jurisdiction of Lille is in charge of the investigation. Several leads are being explored, including that of a boat that got rid of the goods in the open sea just before an inspection.
