Chambly Beers & Flavors | The unmissable event for beer lovers

A must-see event for beer lovers on Labor Day, the Bières & Saveurs de Chambly festival is back this weekend at the Fort Chambly National Historic Site. Quebec’s largest craft beer festival promises a 21e equally festive and gourmet edition with 110 exhibitors present.

With the magnificent Richelieu River as a backdrop, festival-goers will be able to discover some 1,000 different beers concocted by one of the 70 participating microbreweries, including the brand new LEFOL from Québec City, Valea Brasseur artisan from Massueville and Madawaska from Dégelis. A few local cider houses, vineyards and alcohol producers will also be there, as will producers of non-alcoholic beverages.

For those with a craving, many food kiosks will offer dishes such as lobster (Bleu Homard), poutines and burgers (Déso) or ribs (Rack’n’ribs) as well as vegetarian and gluten-free options.

A musical offering all from Quebec has been developed to liven up the site with the participation of the groups Clay and Friends, Les Shirley, La Grand-Messe with a tribute to the Cowboys Fringants and many others. And since the event has always had the intention of being family-friendly, the little ones will be able to see a balloon sculptor, magic performances, have their face painted or have fun in the inflatable games at the Espace famille.
