A first hard-won victory for the Blues. In the opening of its Paralympic tournament, the French wheelchair rugby team won its match against Denmark (53-51), Thursday, August 29, at the temporary Grand Palais. A success that took a long time to come. Leading by two points at the end of the third quarter, the tricolors took advantage of an equalizing ball missed by the Danes with 30 seconds left to finally win with a narrow lead.
Author of 29 tests, Jonathan Hivernat largely contributed to the Tricolores’ first success.
