The head of state, Emmanuel Macron, said he was ready to receive “all those who want to work for the higher interest of the country”as part of the new consultations launched at the Elysée to find a Prime Minister, Tuesday August 27. “The work continues. The door is open and I welcome all those who want to come and continue to work for the higher interest of the country,” said the President of the Republic, questioned by journalists while he was waiting for the head of the Irish government, Simon Harris, on the steps of the Elysée.

Emmanuel Macron began these new consultations on Tuesday for the formation of a new government, after having ruled out the possibility of a New Popular Front government on Monday. “A government based solely on the programme and the parties proposed by the alliance bringing together the most deputies, the New Popular Front, would be immediately censored by all the other groups represented in the National Assembly, had justified the presidency in a statement. This announcement has aroused the ire of the left-wing alliance, part of which is calling for a demonstration on September 7 against what it considers to be a “coup de force”.

“I am well aware of the urgency of the situation”the president told elected officials from the centrist Liot group, the first to be received for this second round of discussions on Tuesday, France has learned Televisions with participants. The elected representatives of the Republicans (LR), Laurent Wauquiez, Annie Genevard and Bruno Retailleau, should follow on Wednesday.
