Telegram Messenger Boss Pavel Durov Arrested at Le Bourget Airport

The courts accuse Pavel Durov of hosting groups of pedophiles on his Telegram messaging service who exchange content on the sexual exploitation of children.

The boss of the Telegram messaging service Pavel Durov was arrested on Saturday, August 24, at Le Bourget airport in Seine-Saint-Denis, franceinfo learned from a source close to the case, confirming information from TF1/LCI.

Listed in the Wanted Persons File (FPR), Pavel Durov was under threat of a French search warrant issued, on the basis of a preliminary investigation, by the Ofmin, the Minors Office specializing in the fight against violence against minors under the national direction of the French judicial police, franceinfo learned from the same source. This search warrant was to be activated only if the individual was on French territory.

According to information from franceinfo, the courts accuse Pavel Durov of not responding to judicial requisitions and of hosting on his site groups of pedocriminals who exchange content of sexual exploitation of children and personal production.
