“We are extremely anxious because we know the conditions in which she is being held, in a high security section, she is completely cut off from the world.”testifies Friday August 23 on franceinfo Noémie Kohler, sister of Cécile Kohler. She holds a stand on the weekend of August 24 and 25 in Paimpol, in the Côtes-d’Armor, as part of the mobilization organized by SOS Otages, to demand the release of the three French people held hostage in Iran.

This mobilization is taking place on the occasion of the Fête des vieux régements, where former hostages will come to demand the release of Cécile Kohler and her partner Jacques Paris, arbitrarily detained in a Tehran prison since 2022, as well as another Frenchman named Olivier whose name has not been made public. “The aim of these demonstrations is to shed light on them, to talk about them as much as possible to get them out of there”explains Noémie Kohler.

His sister “sleeps on the floor, she is not allowed to receive mail, she has nothing to write with, she can only leave her cell in a courtyard three times a week”she reports, evoking “terrible and destructive conditions”.

Cécile Kohler’s sister says she has “very little news from her”because she only has the right to “very short WhatsApp video calls, about five minutes long”, “under high surveillance”. “Her speech is constrained, we understand that she cannot express herself freely about her real state of health”she worries. These calls therefore consist “mainly to exchange words of love and support, and family news“, continues Noémie Kohler.
