Exhibition Fight | Mayweather Challenges Gotti in Mexico

(Mexico) Eye to eye, without blinking, like in the good old days: former American world boxing champion Floyd Mayweather challenged John Gotti III on Wednesday in Mexico City, three days before an exhibition fight.

“It’s always about fighting […] “I will remain a fighter until the day I die,” Mayweather, officially retired since 2017, warned during a press conference.

“He’s still in good shape at 47,” acknowledged his opponent, the grandson of John Gotti, the godfather of a mafia family who died in prison in 2002.

The two men will face each other on Saturday at the Arena (around 17,000 seats) in Mexico City.

“I know we’re going to sell out the crowd, and I’ve done it a million times,” proclaimed Floyd Mayweather, undefeated in nearly 20 years of career and 50 fights.
