After Kursk, Bryansk. Russia claimed on Wednesday evening, August 21, to have prevented an attempted incursion by a group of “saboteurs” Ukrainians near Briansk. This location is not insignificant since this region is on the border, neighboring that of Kursk, where the Ukrainian army has been leading an incursion into Russian territory since the beginning of August.
This new attempt has “was prevented by Russian FSB forces” as well as by “units of the Russian armed forces“, the governor of this oblast said on his Telegram account. Alexandre Bogomaz also claimed that “L“enemy was hit by gunfire” during this response.
The Russian army also claimed the capture of a new city in Ukraine: that of Jelanné, proving that its troops are still advancing, towards Pokrovsk, in the east of the country. Russian soldiers are taking village after village and advancing for dozens of kilometers. Among the 53,000 inhabitants of Pokrovsk, families with children were called on Monday by the regional authorities to leave their homes, even ordering them to “forced evacuation”.
