In the northern districts of Marseille (Bouches-du-Rhône), the Bleuets mosque is under administrative closure proceedings. Imam Smaïn Bendjilali and his vision of Islam deemed radical are in the sights of the authorities. The faithful contest these accusations. Widely followed on social networks, the 43-year-old imam from Marseille is said to legitimize jihad, polygamy and incite violence against women.
