“Hi, it’s Sarah! What does it say?”

This Wednesday, August 21, the village officially opens its doors to Paralympic athletes, seven days before the opening ceremony. A delay of 15 days after the end of the Olympic Games which is not a rule, but which allows to clearly differentiate the two events and to modify the facilities of certain sites.

The emergency rooms of around fifty hospitals are once again having a summer under pressure, due to a lack of staff and beds. At the Brest University Hospital, caregivers have erected a “wall of shame” on which are written the initials of people over 75 who have spent more than 12 hours in the emergency room.

A somewhat retro German song that has been used in over 10,000 videos on TikTok actually spreads racist tropes. It is titled Joined in a Talahonwhich in French means “Love at first sight for a Talahon”, a term often used by the German right to refer to a young man from an immigrant background. Despite this, the song managed to briefly reach the German Top 50.
