Broadcast on ICI Télé in the fall of 2021, the first part of White night is offered on ICI Tou.tv Extra.

Serge Denoncourt

Director Serge Denoncourt ventures to understand Paris, this city “as easy to hate as to love”, where he lives part-time. Our beloved deadpan reinvents the travel magazine in his own way, sometimes taking us into the maze of renovations of his apartment at 10e district, sometimes behind the scenes of his project Bernadette of Lourdes. With, of course, stops at the most beautiful addresses in the City of Light… but also rants about its less glorious aspects. In each episode, Denoncourt meets up with friends from Quebec and France (Pierre Lapointe, Aurélie Dupont, Dany Laferrière…) for uninhibited discussions about the relationship between the two nations.

Jonathan Roberge hosts Steak, corn, potatoes.

Beyond its title, a nod to you-know-what comedy, the playful documentary series Steak, corn, potatoes will be of interest to history buffs and amateurs alike. foodies curious. It roundly depicts the gastronomic and culinary evolution of the Belle Province, notably by telling how Quebec had to stretch its culinary muscles when the whole world had its eyes fixed on it, during the 1967 World’s Fair. Or why our grandmothers’ plates, associated with pork fat and baked beans, acquired this reputation, let’s say, as fatty. With humor, host Jonathan Roberge provides additional information between archival images and historians’ comments, and welcomes guests like Liza Frulla and Janette Bertrand to his table. A slice of farlouche tart, anyone?
