In Le Lavandou, in the Var, questions remain the day after the plane crash on Friday, August 16, in which the pilot died. The latter was a great professional and knew his plane very well.
A few pencil strokes associated with words, to celebrate the memory of Didier Berger, 65 years old, who died on Friday August 16 in the crash of his plane. “We are thinking of the family and of this pilot, who wanted to please us and, unfortunately, is no longer here”confided a woman. Many witnesses filmed the scene: during an air show in which the Patrouille de France was to participate, the pilot twirled in the air, before diving into the sea.
At the controls, Didier Berger knew his plane inside out. He was an experienced pilot, recognized by his peers. “Of a very high level of professionalism in terms of piloting. He was a fighter pilot and an instructor pilot”comments Daniel Murano, a friend of the victim. His father, also a fighter pilot, died in an accident with the same model, a Fouga Magister.
How can the crash be explained? General Patrick Dutartre, a former Air Force officer, puts forward three hypotheses: “A mechanical rupture”, “an order block” Or “a loss of consciousness”.
